Description from Storygraph:
Welcome back to Bayview High . . .
It's been a year since the events of One Of Us Is Lying.
But nothing has settled for the residents of Bayview. Not now someone has started playing a sinister game of Truth or Dare.
Choose truth? You must reveal your darkest secret.
Choose dare? Well, that could be even more dangerous. Even deadly.
When the game takes an even darker turn, suddenly no one at Bayview High knows who to trust.
But they need to find out who is behind the game, before it's too late.

Another re-read before beginning the newest installment in the Bayview series.
Sometimes sequels that don't follow the same characters can be a little bit iffy. Like it's trying too hard to be like the first but not quite the same. That is not the case in this book. The characters featured in Book 1 are still present and playing supporting roles while the story focuses on new characters and returning characters that weren't as primary in the first.
The overlap between the premise of Book 1 and this book was excellently done. There was just enough connection to the original while also being a unique mystery all its own.
Bring on One of Us is Back!
Book Reflection Wrap-up:
What other books by this author have you read? How did they compare to this book?
All of them except the newest release. I really enjoy Karen M. McManus's writing. I have not been disappointed yet in her writing style, the development of each book whether stand-alone or a series. Highly recommend if you're into mystery YA fiction.
How well do you think the author built the world in the book?
It can seem simple to use the actual world instead of creating a fantasy world, but there still needs to be development beyond that baseline. And I think that development was done really well in both installments of this series. We understand the area and how the wealth disparities have a direct impact on the residents of Bayview and the students at Bayview High.
