Description from Storygraph:
Atlanta is blanketed with snow just before Christmas, but the warmth of young love just might melt the ice in this novel of interwoven narratives, Black joy, and cozy, sparkling romance—by the same unbeatable team of authors who wrote the New York Times bestseller Blackout!
As the city grinds to a halt, twelve teens band together to help a friend pull off the most epic apology of her life. But will they be able to make it happen, in spite of the storm?
No one is prepared for this whiteout. But then, we can’t always prepare for the magical moments that change everything.
From the bestselling, award-winning, all-star authors who brought us Blackout—Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D. Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, Ashley Woodfolk, and Nicola Yoon—comes another novel of Black teen love, each relationship within as unique and sparkling as Southern snowflakes.

I absolutely loved Blackout by this same group of authors, so I was really excited that they also wrote a winter story! I first started reading this is November 2022 and it didn't grab me as quickly as Blackout had. Then I got distracted by other books and things and didn't pick it back up again until now. I then made the mistake of trying to just start where I'd left off (because I honestly didn't realize it had been more than a year!) and kept having to flip back to remind myself who different characters were.
The book concept is basically a bunch of smaller stories within one overarching story and I like that idea. It's really cute to get a bunch of little moments that play into the overall plot. I think my attempt to keep going from where I left off made my final reading experience more disappointing than if I'd started from the beginning again. It felt disjointed, but it absolutely was! Because of me.
Each section really went well together and there wasn't a huge or jarring switch between the styles of each author. I loved the way all of the different voices worked well together.
Book Reflection Wrap-up:
What do you think of the book’s cover? How well does it convey what the book is about?
Judging a book by its cover! The cover of this book is super cute and definitely conveys the idea of love during a snow storm and I got a snow globe as a special gift with purchase that matches it. <3
Would you read another book by this author? Why or why not?
Absolutely I would and have for a few of them. I want to read books from the other authors that I haven't read yet.
